Before you call
It helps to have:
- Your address, so the right local installer gets your request
- What the room is for: bedroom, family room, or a finish that needs one escape window
- Whether there's an existing window on that wall, and roughly its size
- What's outside that wall: deck, patio, AC unit, gas meter or driveway
- Any deadline from a permit, inspection, sale or move-in
